Being Loved at Home Part 3- Meals

Being Loved at Home Part 3- Meals

Meals together can be tricky with our busy schedules. I work second shift to make a living while also working part-time in my Young Living Business to make a fortune and having a meal together as a family is hard to do on a regular schedule, but I do manage it.

The way I do it during the weekdays, I’ll get up early once in a while just to have breakfast with our daughter before she leaves for school. (Usually, I’m sleeping because of my work schedule). But when I do make the special effect, I enjoy having breakfast together and seeing her leave to school.

Then there are weekends where we can enjoy a good Sunday dinner all together.

Lately, though, I have made Friday nights special. Coming home from my work we have a late dinner all together. Then we will pray for any needs each other has, pray for others, and our Country leaders. Then we will have a family Bible study together. It has been wonderful! I know I’ll need to mix it up with some fresh things to do, but it seems to be working well in skipping the TV and computer Friday nights and enjoy one another instead.

Make it a point to have some meals with your family too, and you’ll feel loved and so will they. You’ll need to pre-plan it, but you can do it and you’ll be glad you did.

Bible Reference:

“Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God.”- Colossians 3:16 ESV

“For I received from the Lord that which I also delivered to you: that the Lord Jesus on the same night in which He was betrayed took bread; and when He had given thanks, He broke it and said, “Take, eat; this is My body which is broken for you; do this in remembrance of Me.”In the same manner He also took the cup after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in My blood. This do, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of Me.” For as often as you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death till He comes.” – I Corn 11:23-26

“Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.”- Exodus 20:8
