Are You Going Through It?

scaleWe all face trials and temptations in our lives. Different types at different times. Are you going through it right now? Are you facing a trial? I love this word “trial”:

  1.  a formal examination of evidence before a judge, and typically before a jury, in order to decide guilt in a case of criminal or civil proceedings.
“the newspaper accounts of the trial”
synonyms: court case, case, assize, lawsuit, suit, hearing, inquiry, tribunal, litigation, legal proceedings, judicial proceedings, proceedings, legal action; More
  2. a test of the performance, qualities, or suitability of someone or something.
Isn’t that the truth! Have you ever wondered “Why am I going through this?” Let’s see what God has to say about it in the Bible:

“That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:” – I Peter 1:7

Trials are not easy. So many things run through your mind such as “What will be the outcome? Do I give up? What if I don’t make it? What if it doesn’t come out the way I want it to? And so many other things run through your mind during a trial. If you though are willing to die to yourself (give up what you want) and give it into the hands of God, and allow Him to determine the outcome, then whatever the outcome is, you’ll know it is His will and when it’s His will, you know He has the very best in mind for you! (For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.”- Jeremiah 29:11). Isn’t that wonderful to know you can put it in His hands knowing He has the best in mind for you? Even if it doesn’t turn out as you expected or wanted, when it’s in His hands, you can put your faith in Him knowing it will be good according to His will.

Remember that trails are not forever. They only seem like they are when you are in the middle of one. Remember “and this too shall pass” is a true quote. (I’m not sure who said it).

Once you are through the trail, you really do come out better than before! It makes you stronger and better than when you first started. Relief and gratitude are great ways to show thanks. To be grateful to Him for all things, even trails, because even though you might not see it now, there is a light at the end of the tunnel and it’s not a train!
