He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much-What It Means
This quote comes from the Bible in Luke 16:10. When you get a hold of this you’ll start seeing excellence in every area of your life.
I was watching a video of a General in the military and he said: “To be successful, make your bed in the morning.” He went to explain that even if you don’t get anything else done that day when you come home; at least you can say you got one thing done that day.” Before this, I saw a video of a Millionaire in Direct Sales who said “Make your bed with excellence. With everything you do, do it with intention and excellence.” All these ways are the same way as what Luke in the Bible was telling us. Do even the least or smallest things with excellence. Why? Because it will translate into greater things. And you’re not doing it because others will see, you’re doing it because you yourself are transforming yourself into a person of excellence.
Also, realize whatever we do or don’t do affects others too. I’ll give you an example. I got into the kitchen at work to grab a cup of coffee. I noticed that I dripped a little on the counter. Do I clean it up? Sure. Ah, but beyond that, I not only clean up my mess, I also notice the counter isn’t very clean to start with, including my mess. So I clean the whole counter before going back to my work. Why did I do that? Because I’m a leader. I’m a person of excellence. I am faithful in the least, so I can be faithful in the much. Why do I want to? Because I know that when I pay attention to the little details, I’ll be paying attention to all details. When I pay attention to all details, I see my environment around me changing the way I want it to. Why? Because I first changed the inside of me. Bob Proctor talks a lot about this in his books and videos. He says that everything we need, we already have inside of us. To stop looking on the outside and start looking on the inside.
So, let’s start by being faithful with the least so we can be faithful with more. Let’s be leaders of excellence by starting with the “little” things first.
